September 2013 : unusual big blue sky in the Belgian city of Namur to greet the launch of a new generation of chefs born to promote, in the world, the know-how of the creators and the craftsmen defenders of the country and the gastronomic heritage of the Walloon region.
Génération W arose from the initiative of double starred chef Sang-Hoon Degeimbre (Restaurant L’air du Temps in Liernu) quickly joined by about ten iconic gastronomical figures, all so enthusiastic at the idea of shouting at the top of their voices the unsuspected glory of their nourishing earth.
Supported by a strong European will to bring to light the creativity and the regional dynamisms, discreet Wallonia goes out of the shade to show its talents and treasures in order to shout loud and clear that it is well worth a visit.
Craftsmen, producers, artists and all those among whom the passion and love of their art transformed this region in a harbor of cheerful greed, are stronger from today, together to carry with one voice their know-how beyond the borders.
Hear hear, Wallonia did not stop amazing us.
